Source of livelihood saved.
Betty Egor 48 years old of Abongojok Community was diagnosed with typhoid fever in 2016, the health worker suspected she was drinking water from a contaminated water source because she had three cases in the same year, she was discouraged from drinking from that source, but she had no other option. Their former water source was a stream which was shared with animals. she spent 350,000 (USD 100) to treat the typhoid fever from a private clinic, she sold her cow which was providing milk to her family in order to meet the cost of the three treatment, “this well has saved me from future selling of my cows for medical treatment”, said Betty Egor.
